Two weeks after a full-face and neck Dysport® treatment at Skin Glow Dermatology in Brooklyn, Yelena Terushkin, PA-C reviewed this patient’s results and the changes were noticeable not only visually, but in how the patient felt. The treatment focused on facial balance and lift while also addressing tension in the temporalis and masseter muscles.
At follow-up, the patient reported less jaw tension, less heaviness in the temples, and relief from the constant tightness she had been feeling. Yelena also noted visible softening and improved facial harmony.
The follow-up shown in the video demonstrates why neuromodulator treatment should be evaluated beyond a single wrinkle or line. Yelena looked at overall facial movement, balance, symmetry, and the patient’s own experience after treatment.
The treated areas appeared more relaxed and balanced after the Dysport® had time to take effect.
The goal was a more rested, lifted appearance while preserving the patient’s natural facial character.
The patient reported feeling less tension in the jaw at the two-week follow-up.
She also described reduced heaviness and tightness around the temporalis area.
Dysport® is a prescription injectable neuromodulator that temporarily reduces activity in selected muscles. In cosmetic treatment, carefully placed injections can soften dynamic lines and improve the way different areas of the face work together.
At Skin Glow Dermatology, treatment is individualized according to facial anatomy, muscle strength, movement patterns, asymmetry, and the patient’s goals. Learn more about Dysport® injections in Brooklyn, NY.
A full-face approach looks at how muscles interact rather than treating one wrinkle in isolation. Depending on the patient, treatment planning may consider the forehead, brow area, eyes, lower face, jawline, neck, masseter muscles, temporalis muscles, or other areas.
The number of units and injection points should be customized. The goal is not necessarily to remove all movement, but to improve balance and soften overactive muscle patterns while maintaining a natural appearance.
The masseter and temporalis are important chewing muscles. In this patient’s treatment plan, Yelena included these areas because of the patient’s muscle activity and tension pattern.
At follow-up, the patient said she felt less jaw tension and less heaviness in her temples. This is the patient’s individual reported experience and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that Dysport® will relieve jaw pain, clenching, headaches, or temple discomfort in every patient.
Yelena’s approach focuses on facial balance, natural expression, and individualized treatment rather than using the same injection pattern for every patient.

Neuromodulator results develop gradually rather than immediately. A follow-up around two weeks after treatment gives the provider an opportunity to assess facial movement, symmetry, degree of relaxation, and whether the original treatment goals were achieved.
Individual response, onset, and duration vary from patient to patient.
